Flymatrix is a free Bluetooth companion app developed by TOPSTEP SMART PTE.LTD for connecting budget smartwatches to your smartphone. It officially supports the AGPTEK A09 and SENBONO P51 smartwatch models, as well as other white-label smartwatches using the same A09/P51 chipset. The app tracks health data (steps, calories, heart rate, sleep, SpO2), forwards notifications, and allows watch face customization. There are two ways to get started: (1) QR code method — on your A09/P51 smartwatch screen, find the QR code in the app settings or when first setting up, then scan it with your phone camera to download Flymatrix automatically; (2) Manual download — search 'Flymatrix' on Google Play or the App Store and install. After installing: Open Flymatrix → tap 'Add Device' → enable Bluetooth → grant all permissions (Location, Contacts, Notifications, Phone) → select your watch from the scan list and confirm pairing. Always pair through the app — not through your phone's system Bluetooth settings.

Yes, Flymatrix is completely free on both Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store). There are no in-app purchases, subscription fees, or advertisements. The app is provided as a free companion app for compatible smartwatches and the developer generates revenue through hardware sales.

Changing the time format is one of the most frequently requested features by Flymatrix users. To change the display format: open the Flymatrix app → navigate to Device settings → look for 'Time Format' or 'Display Settings' → toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour mode. Note: the availability of this setting depends on your specific watch model's firmware. Some variants of the A09 and P51 only support 24-hour display at the hardware level. If the setting is not visible in the app, check whether a firmware update is available by contacting the watch manufacturer.

Flymatrix tracks the following health metrics: daily steps and walking distance; calories burned based on activity and profile data; heart rate (continuous 24/7 monitoring); sleep quality analysis (deep sleep, light sleep, wake phases); and blood oxygen (SpO2) on supported device models. All data is displayed in daily, weekly, and monthly trend charts within the app. Important: all health data provided by Flymatrix is for general fitness and wellness reference only and must not be used for medical diagnosis or treatment.

Flymatrix includes a camera remote control function. However, on most connected devices, this feature controls the smartphone camera remotely using the watch as a remote shutter trigger — it does not control a camera built into the watch. The SENBONO P51 has a variant that includes a built-in watch camera, but camera control availability depends on your specific hardware model. If the feature is not working, verify your watch model supports it and that camera permissions are granted in the Flymatrix app settings.

Flymatrix supports forwarding the following types of notifications to your watch: incoming phone calls (with caller ID display), SMS text messages, Facebook, X (Twitter), and WhatsApp notifications, plus other app alerts. To enable: open Flymatrix → go to Notification settings → toggle on each app you want → grant 'Notification Access' permission when prompted on Android. On iOS, allow Flymatrix full notification access in iPhone Settings. Once configured, incoming alerts will vibrate your watch and display a preview.

Common causes and fixes: (1) App was killed by Android battery saver — disable battery optimization for Flymatrix; (2) Watch Bluetooth disconnected — the app may need manual reconnect; open Flymatrix and tap your device to reconnect; (3) Watch reset itself — some users report watches resetting after firmware issues, requiring full re-setup; (4) iOS background restrictions — allow Flymatrix background app refresh in iPhone Settings; (5) Bluetooth cache issue — toggle Bluetooth off/on on your phone; (6) Re-pair completely if nothing else works.

To change your smartwatch face using Flymatrix: (1) Open the Flymatrix app; (2) Go to Device settings (tap the watch icon); (3) Select 'Dials' or 'Watch Face'; (4) Browse the available designs — Flymatrix offers a diverse selection of styles; (5) Tap your preferred design; (6) The new watch face is pushed to your smartwatch automatically via Bluetooth. The watch face gallery is updated periodically with new designs.

Flymatrix requires these permissions to function: Location (required for Bluetooth device scanning on Android — may run in background); Bluetooth (to connect to and communicate with your smartwatch); Contacts (to display caller ID and contact names in call notifications on your watch); Phone & SMS (to forward call alerts and message previews to the watch); Notifications (to sync app notifications from your phone to your watch); Background App Refresh (to maintain Bluetooth connection and sync health data when app is not active). All permissions are used solely for the app's core smartwatch connectivity and health tracking features.
