HUAWEI Health is Huawei's official smartwatch companion app with 100+ workout modes, heart rate, SpO₂, sleep & stress tracking. Manage wearables, watch faces, and Health+ features.
HUAWEI Health is the official companion app for Huawei smartwatches, fitness bands, and health monitoring devices, developed by Huawei Software Technologies Co., Ltd. It is available on the App Store (ID: 1325481372) and distributed on Android via HUAWEI AppGallery (package: com.huawei.health). The app allows users to pair their Huawei wearables with their smartphone, enabling health data synchronization, workout tracking with 100+ modes, watch face customization, and firmware updates. With over 400 million global users and a 4.5-star App Store rating, HUAWEI Health is one of the most widely used health and fitness apps in the world.
HUAWEI Health is not available on Google Play. On Huawei phones with EMUI or HarmonyOS, open the HUAWEI AppGallery and search for 'HUAWEI Health' to install directly. For non-Huawei Android phones (Samsung, Xiaomi, etc.), you can download the APK from third-party sources: APKMirror (apkmirror.com), Aptoide (aptoide.com), Softonic, or Uptodown. When sideloading, enable 'Install from unknown sources' in your Android settings. The APK is approximately 169 MB and requires Android 8.0 or later.
Yes, HUAWEI Health supports direct Strava integration. To enable it, open HUAWEI Health, go to Me > Settings > Data Sharing, and connect your Strava account. Once linked, completed workouts (running, cycling, swimming, etc.) are automatically synced to your Strava profile with GPS route, pace, heart rate, and other metrics. This is a native integration that does not require Health Connect or any third-party bridging app.
HUAWEI Health does not offer a native Google Fit integration since it operates outside the Google Play ecosystem. However, you can use third-party bridging apps like Health Sync (available on Google Play) to transfer data from HUAWEI Health to Google Fit. Health Sync reads data from HUAWEI Health and writes it to Google Fit automatically. Some users also use Strava as an intermediary — sync HUAWEI Health to Strava, then connect Strava to Google Fit.
HUAWEI Health is compatible with a wide range of Huawei wearable devices including: WATCH Ultimate series, WATCH 4/5 series, WATCH GT 3/4/5/6 series, WATCH FIT 2/3 series, WATCH D/D2 (blood pressure), Band 8/9/10, and Huawei smart scales. The app also supports older devices like WATCH GT 2 and Band 7. Device availability varies by region. To check compatibility, open HUAWEI Health, tap 'Add Device', and look for your specific model in the device list.
Yes, HUAWEI Health works on Samsung phones and other non-Huawei Android devices running Android 8.0 or later. Since the app is not on Google Play, you need to download it from the HUAWEI AppGallery (which can be installed on any Android phone) or sideload the APK from sources like APKMirror or Aptoide. Once installed, HUAWEI Health functions identically to how it works on Huawei phones — you can pair wearables, sync health data, and access all features.
HUAWEI Health+ is an optional premium subscription service within the HUAWEI Health app, priced at $2.49/month or $29.99/year. It unlocks professional workout courses with video guidance, guided meditation and mindfulness sessions, a sleep music and ambient sound library, breathing exercises, and exclusive health insights reports. Health+ content is regularly updated with new courses and programs. The core HUAWEI Health app remains free — Health+ is entirely optional and not required for device pairing, health tracking, or any standard features.
HUAWEI Health provides limited built-in data export options. You can export individual workout records as GPX/TCX files by opening a workout detail and tapping the share/export button. For bulk health data export, go to Me > Settings > Privacy > Request Your Data to download a copy of your personal data. Alternatively, syncing with Strava or Apple HealthKit effectively exports workout and health data to those platforms. Third-party apps like Health Sync can also bridge data to Google Fit or Samsung Health on Android.
Yes, on iOS, HUAWEI Health integrates with Apple HealthKit. When you first set up HUAWEI Health on iPhone, the app requests permission to read and write health data to Apple Health. Once granted, activity data (steps, calories, workouts), heart rate, sleep, and other metrics sync automatically to Apple Health. This allows your Huawei wearable data to be accessible by other iOS health and fitness apps that read from Apple Health.
HUAWEI Health Kit is Huawei's developer platform (API) that allows third-party app developers to access health and fitness data collected by HUAWEI Health and Huawei wearable devices. It is part of the HMS Core SDK and provides APIs for reading/writing activity records, heart rate, sleep, and other health metrics. Health Kit is the developer-facing technology — regular users interact with HUAWEI Health as their consumer app. Developers can learn more at developer.huawei.com.
The running plans in HUAWEI Health are fantastic. I used the marathon training program with my GT 5 and the GPS tracking is incredibly accurate. Love how it adjusts the plan based on my performance. Best running companion app I've used.
TruSleep is surprisingly accurate compared to my sleep lab results. It correctly identifies my REM cycles and even catches brief awakenings I'm not aware of. Only wish the sleep score algorithm was more transparent about how it calculates the final number.
Excellent app for managing my GT 6. The watch face store has hundreds of options and they download quickly. Firmware updates are smooth and the notification management lets me pick exactly which apps buzz my wrist. Very polished experience overall.
HUAWEI Health collects tons of health data which is great, but exporting it is painful. You can share individual workouts to Strava but there's no easy way to bulk export all your historical data. The charts in the app are nice but I want to analyze my data in my own spreadsheets.
Love the family sharing feature — I can keep an eye on my parents' heart rate and SpO2 readings. The activity rings motivate my kids to move more too. Would be perfect if they added a shared challenges feature for families.
Comprehensive health tracking app that does everything well. Heart rate, sleep, stress, workouts — all very detailed. My only frustration is the lack of native Google Fit integration. I use Health Sync as a workaround but it would be so much simpler if Huawei just added it directly.
The TruSport system is incredible for serious runners. My Running Ability Index and VO2Max estimates are very close to my lab-tested values. The AI training plans actually adapt week by week based on how I perform. Paired with Watch GT 5 Pro, this is a legitimate training tool.
Solid companion app with great device management features. Watch face store is massive, firmware updates work reliably, and the health dashboard is clean and informative. My one complaint: the Health+ subscription ads pop up too frequently. I get it, you want me to subscribe, but please tone it down.
Using HUAWEI Health with Band 9 and the basic features work perfectly fine — step counting, heart rate, sleep tracking all sync quickly. The UI is clean but I wish it was more customizable. Can't rearrange the dashboard cards or hide metrics I don't care about. Also, the app is quite large for what it does.
Hands down the best companion app for Huawei wearables. I've tried connecting my Watch GT 4 to third-party apps and nothing comes close to the native HUAWEI Health experience. The data is more detailed, sync is faster, and you get exclusive features like TruSleep analysis that just aren't available elsewhere.
HUAWEI Health is the official companion app for Huawei smartwatches, fitness bands, and health monitoring devices, published by Huawei Software Technologies Co., Ltd. on the App Store (App Store ID: 1325481372) and distributed on Android via the HUAWEI AppGallery (package: com.huawei.health). With over 400 million global users and a 4.5-star rating from 13,800+ App Store reviews, HUAWEI Health is the central hub for Huawei wearable users who want to track health metrics, record workouts, customize watch faces, and manage their devices — all from a single app.
Note: HUAWEI Health is NOT available on Google Play. On Android, the app is distributed exclusively through the HUAWEI AppGallery, and can also be sideloaded from third-party sources such as APKMirror, Aptoide, Softonic, and Uptodown.
The HUAWEI Health app transforms your Huawei smartwatch or fitness band into a comprehensive health and fitness companion. Once paired with a compatible wearable via Bluetooth, the app automatically syncs activity data, health readings, and workout summaries to your phone. You can then review daily trends, customize your watch face, update firmware, manage notifications, and monitor your long-term wellness progress.
Unlike many third-party fitness apps, HUAWEI Health is built specifically for Huawei wearable hardware, enabling deep integration for real-time sensor data including heart rate (TruSeen), blood oxygen (SpO₂), ECG (on supported models), blood pressure (Watch D series), stress levels, and sleep analysis (TruSleep).
Huawei's wearable health ecosystem has grown rapidly since the launch of the original Huawei Watch in 2015. Today, with over 400 million global users, HUAWEI Health is one of the most widely used health and fitness apps in the world. The app is a core component of the Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) ecosystem, tightly integrated with HarmonyOS and EMUI.
Huawei has invested heavily in proprietary health technology through its HUAWEI Research division, developing sensor algorithms and AI models that power features like TruSeen (heart rate accuracy), TruSleep (sleep stage detection), TruSport (athletic performance analysis), and TruSense (comprehensive health monitoring). These technologies are exclusive to the HUAWEI Health ecosystem and cannot be replicated by third-party apps.
The ecosystem spans multiple device categories: the premium WATCH Ultimate series for professionals, the WATCH and WATCH GT series for mainstream users, the WATCH FIT series for fitness enthusiasts, the WATCH D series for medical-grade blood pressure monitoring, and the Band series for affordable fitness tracking. All of these devices connect through HUAWEI Health as their single companion app.
HUAWEI Health supports Bluetooth pairing with the entire Huawei wearable ecosystem. The app guides you through the pairing process step by step — enable Bluetooth, select your device model, and confirm the pairing code. Once connected, health data syncs automatically in the background.
With a compatible wearable paired, HUAWEI Health provides 24/7 continuous heart rate tracking powered by the HUAWEI TruSeen 5.5 optical heart rate sensor system:
HUAWEI Health supports both on-demand and automatic SpO₂ measurements on supported devices. Blood oxygen readings are displayed as percentage values with historical trend data. Low SpO₂ alerts notify you when levels drop below a configurable threshold — especially useful during sleep.
HUAWEI Health provides comprehensive sleep analysis powered by HUAWEI TruSleep 3.0:
The HUAWEI Health app supports recording workouts in over 100 sport modes, including:
| Outdoor Sports | Indoor & Gym | Water Sports | Winter Sports |
|---|---|---|---|
| Outdoor Run | Indoor Run | Pool Swimming | Skiing |
| Outdoor Walk | Treadmill | Open Water | Snowboarding |
| Outdoor Cycling | Indoor Cycling | Rowing | Cross-Country Skiing |
| Hiking | Elliptical | Ice Skating | |
| Trail Running | Strength Training |
Each workout session syncs to the app with GPS route (outdoor), distance, pace, heart rate zones, and calorie data.
For outdoor activities, HUAWEI Health provides real-time GPS route tracking with maps, pace data, heart rate zone visualization, and elevation profiles. Routes are saved and can be reviewed in the workout history.
On supported devices (Watch GT 3 Pro, Watch 4, Watch D2), HUAWEI Health enables single-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring. Users can perform an ECG check directly from their wrist and review results in the app, including rhythm classification.
The HUAWEI Watch D and Watch D2 series feature medical-grade blood pressure monitoring. HUAWEI Health displays systolic and diastolic readings, tracks trends over time, and provides alerts for abnormal readings. This feature requires an initial calibration with a traditional blood pressure cuff.
HUAWEI Health calculates a continuous stress level based on HRV (heart rate variability) analysis from your wearable's sensors. Stress data is presented as daily, weekly, and monthly trend charts, helping you identify stressful periods and take proactive steps to manage your wellbeing.
Similar to Apple Watch's activity rings, HUAWEI Health features daily Move, Exercise, and Stand rings that encourage healthy habits. Complete all three rings daily to build streaks and achieve your fitness goals.
HUAWEI Health offers AI-powered running training programs from 5K to full marathon distances. The TruSport system analyzes your running ability index (RAI), VO₂Max, training load, and recovery time to create personalized training schedules that adapt to your progress.
HUAWEI Health includes a built-in watch face store where you can browse, preview, download, and install hundreds of custom watch faces for your connected device. The gallery includes traditional analog designs, digital fitness-focused faces, photo-based faces, and animated watch faces.
Transfer and manage music on your wearable device directly from HUAWEI Health. Upload songs from your phone to your watch's internal storage for offline playback during workouts — no phone required.
HUAWEI Health supports family health data sharing with alerts for abnormal readings. Add family members to monitor their daily health metrics, receive alerts when their heart rate or SpO₂ readings are abnormal, and encourage each other to stay active.
HUAWEI Health+ is a premium subscription service ($2.49/month or $29.99/year) that unlocks:
Keep your connected wearables up to date with over-the-air firmware updates. HUAWEI Health checks for and installs the latest software versions, delivering new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements wirelessly.
