Introduction

Keep Health is a free health and fitness companion app designed to pair with affordable smartwatches and fitness trackers. Developed by 晓青 蔡 (Caixiaoqing), the app has surpassed 1 million downloads on Google Play and maintains a presence on the iOS App Store, serving users who want reliable health monitoring without breaking the bank.

The Keep Health app bridges your budget smartwatch with your smartphone — giving you a clean dashboard for daily steps, heart rate trends, sleep analysis, exercise history, and event reminders. It also syncs health data directly to Apple Health on iPhone, making it easy to consolidate your wellness data in one place.

Note: Keep Health is a companion app for third-party smartwatches sold under various generic and OEM brand names. It is a separate product from the Chinese fitness platform "Keep" (300M+ users), which focuses on workout videos and gym tracking.

How the Keep Health App Works

After downloading the Keep Health app on Android or iPhone, you pair your compatible smartwatch via Bluetooth. The app continuously receives health data from your wearable — steps walked, calories burned, heart rate readings, sleep stages, and workout session logs — and presents them in easy-to-read daily, weekly, and monthly views.

The app also acts as a notification bridge: incoming calls and SMS messages are pushed from your phone to your watch screen, so you stay informed without constantly pulling out your phone.

Health & Fitness Tracking Features
Step Counting & Daily Activity

The Keep Health app records your daily step count, distance traveled, and estimated calories burned. You can set personalized step goals and review weekly or monthly summaries to track your activity trends over time.

Sleep Monitoring

Keep Health tracks your nightly sleep with breakdowns of deep sleep, light sleep, and awake periods. The sleep history view lets you spot patterns — whether you're consistently sleeping too little or waking up frequently — so you can make lifestyle adjustments.

Heart Rate Monitoring

Compatible watches send real-time heart rate data to the Keep Health app throughout the day. You can view your HR history in graph form to monitor cardiovascular trends during rest and exercise.

Exercise History

The app logs your sports sessions and exercise history synced from your connected smartwatch, including duration, steps, and calorie burn per workout.

Family Health Management

Keep Health supports a family health feature that allows you to remotely monitor health data for family members — useful for keeping an eye on elderly relatives wearing a compatible tracker.

Reminders & Smart Notifications

Set event reminders directly in the app, manage call and SMS notification forwarding to your watch, and configure Do Not Disturb and night mode settings for uninterrupted sleep.

Water Intake Tracking

Log your daily water intake within the app to stay on top of hydration goals alongside your physical activity data.

Apple Health Integration

On iOS, the Keep Health app syncs health metrics — including step counts and activity data — to Apple Health (HealthKit). This allows your Keep Health data to appear alongside data from other connected apps and devices in the Apple Health dashboard.

Tip: Some users have reported that Apple Health sync requires manual refresh. Ensure the app has Health permissions enabled in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Keep Health.

Compatible Smartwatches

Keep Health is compatible with a range of budget smartwatches and fitness trackers, including models sold under generic and OEM labels such as:

  • Q15Pro-80B7, Q23, Q28, Q58
  • GTS4-C619, C60
  • Various generic fitness trackers and smartbands available on Amazon, AliExpress, and other marketplaces

If your smartwatch's packaging or QR code directs you to download "Keep Health," this is the correct app. Check your device manual for the exact pairing instructions.

Is Keep Health Safe? Privacy & Data

Keep Health is developed by an independent Chinese developer (晓青 蔡 / Caixiaoqing). On the App Store, the app declares it may collect Health & Fitness data, Location, Contact Info, and Diagnostics — none of which is linked to your identity. On Google Play, the developer states that data is encrypted in transit and you can request data deletion.

The official privacy policy is available at: keep.health/keep-health-online-privacy-policy

Important: All health measurements (heart rate, steps, sleep) from Keep Health are for general wellness reference only. They are not intended as medical advice and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical judgment. Always consult your doctor for medical decisions.

Keep Health vs Similar Apps

Keep Health occupies the budget smartwatch companion app space alongside VeryFitPro, GloryFit, H Band, and Da Fit. It differentiates itself with:

  • Simple, clean interface suited to first-time smartwatch users
  • Apple Health sync on iOS
  • Family health monitoring feature
  • Free with no ads or subscriptions reported
  • Broad compatibility with low-cost generic trackers

FAQ

What is the Keep Health app and what does it do?

Keep Health is a free health and fitness companion app developed by 晓青 蔡 (Caixiaoqing) for pairing with affordable smartwatches and fitness trackers. After connecting your compatible smartwatch via Bluetooth, the app acts as your health dashboard — displaying daily step counts, heart rate history, sleep analysis (deep/light/awake stages), exercise records, and calorie data. It also pushes call and SMS notifications from your phone to your watch, lets you set event reminders, tracks water intake, and syncs health data with Apple Health on iPhone. The app is completely free on both Google Play (1M+ downloads) and the App Store, with no subscription or in-app purchases.

How do I connect the Keep Health app to my smartwatch?

To connect the Keep Health app to your smartwatch: (1) Download Keep Health from Google Play (package: com.keephealthpro.android) or the App Store (ID: 1448447862); (2) Open the app and create an account or continue as guest; (3) Enable Bluetooth on your phone; (4) Power on your smartwatch and make sure it is in pairing mode (usually by long-pressing the button or via the watch menu); (5) In the Keep Health app, tap the device icon or 'Add Device'; (6) Select your watch from the scan list; (7) Confirm the pairing on both devices. Grant notification access permissions when prompted. Once connected, the app will sync health data automatically.

What smartwatches are compatible with Keep Health?

Keep Health is compatible with a range of budget smartwatches and fitness trackers, including models such as Q15Pro-80B7, Q23, Q28, Q58, GTS4-C619, C60, and various other generic fitness bands sold on Amazon, AliExpress, and similar marketplaces. If your watch packaging or QR code sticker directs you to download 'Keep Health,' this is the correct app for your device. The app supports budget wearables from various OEM manufacturers that use the Keep Health platform. Check the app's device list within the 'Add Device' screen for a current full list of supported models.

Does Keep Health sync with Apple Health?

Yes, Keep Health supports Apple Health (HealthKit) integration on iOS. Once enabled, the app syncs health data including step counts and activity metrics to your Apple Health dashboard. To set it up: go to iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Keep Health, and enable the data categories you want to share. Some users have reported the sync works best when you open the Keep Health app to trigger a manual refresh. If data is not appearing in Apple Health, check the app's permissions and ensure background app refresh is enabled for Keep Health in your iPhone settings.

Why is the Keep Health app not working or not connecting?

Common Keep Health connection issues and solutions: (1) Bluetooth off — ensure Bluetooth is enabled; force-close the app and restart. (2) Watch out of range — keep phone and watch within 1–2 meters during initial pairing. (3) Cache issue — go to phone Settings > Apps > Keep Health > Storage, clear cache and data, then relaunch. (4) After iOS updates — you may need to remove the watch from both the app and your phone's Bluetooth settings, then re-pair. (5) App not updated — install the latest version from the Play Store or App Store. (6) Restart both devices — power off phone and watch, then restart and try pairing again. If issues persist, use the in-app feedback option to contact the developer.

Is the Keep Health app free? Are there any in-app purchases?

Yes, Keep Health is completely free to download and use on both Android and iOS. There are no subscription fees, no premium tiers, and no in-app purchases. All features — step tracking, heart rate monitoring, sleep analysis, family health management, Apple Health sync, notification forwarding, event reminders, water intake logging, and device management — are available at no cost. The app is supported through the sale of compatible smartwatch hardware rather than app monetization.

How accurate is the Keep Health app's health tracking?

Keep Health health data relies on the optical sensors built into your connected smartwatch. For budget-priced devices, accuracy varies: step counting is generally reliable for daily activity trends; heart rate monitoring works reasonably well at rest but can vary during intense activity; sleep tracking may occasionally over-log sleep time if you rest without sleeping. Users have reported that calorie estimates can be approximate. For general wellness monitoring and habit tracking, the data is useful. However, Keep Health is not a medical device — all readings are for reference only. Do not use Keep Health data for medical diagnosis or treatment decisions.

How do I set up sleep tracking in Keep Health?

To use sleep tracking with Keep Health: (1) Wear your compatible smartwatch while sleeping; (2) Ensure the watch is paired and synced with the Keep Health app before bed; (3) In the morning, open Keep Health and go to the Sleep section — your watch should have automatically detected and synced your sleep data; (4) You'll see a breakdown of total sleep duration with deep sleep, light sleep, and awake periods. For best accuracy, ensure the watch fits snugly on your wrist and Bluetooth remains connected overnight. Note: some users report occasional over-logging — if you rest in the evening, the watch may count that as sleep. The app currently does not support manually editing sleep entries.

Can I use Keep Health without creating an account?

Keep Health can be used with basic functionality without creating an account. However, creating an account enables cloud backup of your health data, which means your history is preserved if you switch devices or reinstall the app. An account also enables the family health management feature, which requires account-based connections between family members. For most users, creating a free account is recommended to protect your health data history.

What is the difference between Keep Health and the Keep fitness app?

Keep Health (by 晓青 蔡, package: com.keephealthpro.android) and the Keep fitness app (by Beijing Keep Technology Co., Ltd., 300M+ users) are completely separate, unrelated products. Keep Health is a companion app for budget smartwatches, focused on syncing health data from wearable devices. The Keep fitness app is a Chinese fitness platform featuring workout videos, running tracking, gym check-ins, and a large social community. They share a similar name but have different developers, different app IDs, and entirely different purposes. If you're looking for a companion app for your smartwatch, you want Keep Health.

The fitness watch related to this App is affordable, lightweight, comfortable and attractive. I bought it a month ago and have been using the App since then for step tracking, heart rate and blood pressure monitoring, and sport modes like walking, cycling, and golf. I really like the historical views (daily, 30 days, 6 months and 1 year) of the features I am using. The charging, battery life, and syncing with the watch has been quick and problem free and I have received timely and useful support from the developers for my questions. Overall a great user experience and a tremendous value for the cost.

Overall I think the app is great and easy to use and follow. I have noticed a couple things that could use some work though — namely the graphs. It would be awesome if the graphs were dynamic, changing their range based on historical data for the user so ranges are more meaningful. But overall, it's a great app that is very easy to use and I am very happy with the purchase.

I'm happy to have this to keep track of my health stats, specifically my heart rate, sleep time, caloric burn, and steps. However, it still doesn't accurately translate to the Health app for iPhone. I've had to manually add the difference in steps daily. As for the watch itself, I love how lightweight it is. The battery life has been amazing — 7 to 8 days before charging. The backlight for the watch face is bright enough to see in daylight. Overall I love this watch for the price point.

I started using my device and overall the device works well, especially for the price. The app allows one to select watch faces which is a nice touch. I had some sleep data questions — 9 hours and 50 minutes were logged when I only slept about 6 hours. Would appreciate clearer documentation on how to calibrate sleep tracking. Otherwise decent value for what you pay.

Other than needing some setup guidance for the alarm and notification settings, the app and watch are really good. I love the watch — it's a bit big for me but the features work well. The step tracking and heart rate monitoring are easy to access. Looking forward to updates that add alarm sound support. The value for money is excellent for a first-time smartwatch user like me.

This app works fine with my device, and it doesn't seem to excessively drain my battery or use data. It appears to sync on a schedule or when you open the app rather than continuously. One quality of life change I would like to see is more control over watch face options — there is only one template for a custom watch face. More importantly, it would be nice to be able to lock the watch face. I'm constantly accidentally changing the watch face.

App is pretty good, but I have noticed some issues: I have it set to imperial units, but when I want to input water intake it only allows milliliters. Also it is impossible to edit things. For instance, when I relax in the evening, it gets counted as sleep and I can't correct it. Also, if I forget to wear the tracker, I can't input sleep later. I would also like to be able to lock the watch. Always reverts. Hope these get fixed in future updates.

Really solid companion app for the price of the watch I bought. Pairing was simple, heart rate tracking works consistently, and the sleep breakdown showing deep vs light sleep stages is genuinely useful. The daily step goal feature helps keep me motivated. Battery life on the watch has been great — about a week on a single charge. Good free option for basic health monitoring.

Works well for what it is — a companion app for an affordable fitness tracker. I use it mainly for step counting, sleep monitoring, and heart rate checks. The family health management feature is a bonus — I set it up for my parents. Multi-language support is great. My only wish is that the Apple Health sync was more automatic and reliable. Overall good value.

The app covers the basics well — step counting, sleep tracking, and heart rate are all functional. The UI is clean and easy to navigate even for non-tech users. I wish the calorie tracking was more accurate and that there were more watch face options. The find-phone feature (play audio from watch) is a clever little feature I didn't expect. Overall decent for the price point of the device.
