Origin Health is the official vivo smartwatch companion app. Track activity rings, heart rate, SpO₂, sleep stages, and 100+ workouts. Compatible with vivo Watch 3, Watch 5, Watch GT, and Watch GT 2.
Origin Health is the official companion app for vivo smartwatches, developed by vivo Mobile Communication Co., Ltd. On Android (Google Play), it is published as 'Origin Health'; on iOS (App Store), it is published as 'vivoHealth'. The app enables vivo Watch users to track daily activity rings, monitor heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO₂), stress, and sleep stages, record 100+ workout modes, manage watch faces and firmware, and relay phone notifications to their watch. It requires a compatible vivo Watch — including Watch 3, Watch 5, Watch GT, Watch GT 2, or iQOO Watch 5 — to access sensor-based health features.
The Origin Health app (vivoHealth on iOS) is compatible with the following vivo smartwatches: vivo Watch 3, vivo Watch 5, vivo Watch GT, vivo Watch GT 2, and iQOO Watch 5. Older vivo Watch models may use the legacy vivo Health app instead. To check compatibility, open Origin Health, tap 'Add Device', and look for your specific watch model in the list. If your watch model is not listed, it may not be supported by the current version of Origin Health.
Yes, Origin Health is available on iPhone as 'vivoHealth' on the App Store (requires iOS 13.0 or later). However, it is not available in the United States App Store. It can be downloaded in select regions including Malaysia, Uzbekistan, South Africa, Colombia, and other markets where vivo operates. Users in unsupported App Store regions can create an Apple ID for a supported region to download the app, or use an Android device instead.
Network errors in Origin Health typically occur for users outside of vivo's primary markets (China, India, and Southeast Asia). To resolve: (1) Disable any VPN or proxy on your phone; (2) Check that your phone's date and time are set automatically and correctly; (3) Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data; (4) Ensure your phone's DNS is set to automatic; (5) Try creating the account using a different email address. If the problem persists, it may be a regional server access issue — vivo's account servers are optimized for Asian market traffic. Some users have found that a SIM card from a vivo-supported market (India, Malaysia, Indonesia) helps resolve connectivity issues.
Origin Health does not natively integrate with Apple Health or Google Fit/Google Health Connect as of the current version (4.0.9 / 2.4.3.x). Health data tracked by Origin Health stays within the app's ecosystem. For users who want to export vivo Watch data to Google Health Connect on Android, third-party sync tools may be available. Apple Health sync is not currently supported. This is a commonly requested feature; check the app's update notes for any future integration announcements.
You can download the Origin Health APK from APKMirror at https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/vivo-mobile-communication-co-ltd/origin-health/ or from Uptodown at https://origin-health.en.uptodown.com/android. The latest stable version requires Android 8.0 or higher. If you download the APK manually, ensure you enable 'Install from unknown sources' in your Android settings before installing. Note that sideloaded APK versions may not receive automatic updates — it's recommended to use Google Play for the most up-to-date version.
Yes, Origin Health fully supports the vivo Watch GT 2. Version 4.0.9 (iOS) and the latest Android build (2.4.3.x) added explicit support for WATCH GT 2, including syncing health data (heart rate, SpO₂, sleep), workout recording, and watch face management. If you previously couldn't connect your Watch GT 2, update Origin Health to the latest version via Google Play or the App Store. After updating, go to 'Add Device' in the app and select 'Watch GT 2' from the list.
BlueOS is vivo's proprietary RTOS (Real-Time Operating System) designed specifically for smartwatches and IoT devices, distinct from OriginOS (which runs on vivo smartphones). vivo Watch 3, Watch 5, Watch GT, and Watch GT 2 all run BlueOS. Origin Health communicates directly with BlueOS via the vivo health platform APIs over Bluetooth, enabling deeper integration than generic third-party apps. This is why Origin Health is the recommended — and often only fully functional — app for managing vivo BlueOS watches.
Yes, Origin Health is completely free to download and use on both Android and iOS. There are no in-app purchases, subscription plans, or premium tiers. All features — including activity tracking, heart rate monitoring, sleep analysis, workout recording, watch face downloads, and firmware updates — are available at no cost. The app requires a free vivo account for full functionality.
Origin Health requires location permission for two reasons: (1) GPS access for outdoor workout tracking (running, cycling, hiking routes); and (2) on Android, Bluetooth device scanning requires the 'Nearby Devices' or 'Location' permission per Android's Bluetooth API requirements (this is a Google Play policy, not data collection — the app needs location permission to scan for your watch via Bluetooth). You can disable GPS location tracking in the app settings while keeping Bluetooth functionality enabled.
I have vivo watch 5, but this app not connecting for watch 5. Please add vivo watch 5 support.
The interface is extremely good and is well compatible with the devices. It allows you to track all the health info overall it's perfect.
The Sleep Tracker doesn't seem to work after the update. Was OK before, constantly tracks my sleep even though I didn't open the app to refresh the data recorded. Now, it's stuck in a frozen screen where data is blank. All other trackers seem to work fine. Hope this gets fixed. Edit: it now is better. Sleep Tracker works now and loads faster than before.
The app is well designed and works smoothly, but exercise modes are incomplete. There is no dedicated Outdoor Walk or Indoor Walk mode, only Brisk Walk. Walking is the most common daily activity, especially for non-runners. Please add proper Outdoor Walk and Indoor Walk modes with accurate pace, distance, and calorie tracking. This would significantly improve usability for regular users.
Overall a good app but I cannot pair my galaxy fit with this app!
Origin Health is the official companion app for vivo smartwatches, published by vivo Mobile Communication Co., Ltd. on Google Play (package: com.vivo.exhealth) and on the App Store as vivoHealth (App Store ID: 1507758742). With over 10 million downloads on Google Play alone, Origin Health is the central hub for vivo watch users who want to track their daily fitness, monitor health metrics, and manage their smartwatch — all from a single app.
Note on naming: On Google Play (Android), this app is listed as "Origin Health" — reflecting vivo's global operating system rebrand to OriginOS. On the Apple App Store (iOS), the same app is published under the name "vivoHealth". Both are identical applications developed and maintained by vivo.
The Origin Health app (also known as vivoHealth on iOS) transforms your vivo smartwatch into a comprehensive health and fitness companion. Once paired with a compatible vivo Watch via Bluetooth, the app automatically syncs activity data, health readings, and workout summaries to your phone. You can then review daily trends, customize your watch face, update firmware, and monitor your long-term wellness progress.
Unlike many third-party fitness apps, Origin Health is built specifically for vivo's BlueOS-powered smartwatches, enabling deep hardware integration for real-time sensor data including heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO₂), and stress-level estimates.
Origin Health uses an activity ring system — inspired by Apple Fitness, now adopted across the best health apps — to visualize your daily movement goals:
Completing all three rings each day creates a simple, gamified motivation loop. You can set personalized targets in the app and track your weekly completion history.
When paired with a vivo Watch 3, Watch 5, Watch GT, or Watch GT 2, Origin Health provides continuous 24/7 health monitoring:
All sensor data is visualized in the app as daily, weekly, and monthly trend charts, helping you spot patterns in your health over time.
Origin Health provides multi-stage sleep analysis for vivo watch users:
The Origin Health app supports recording workouts in over 100 sport modes, including:
| Outdoor Sports | Indoor & Gym | Water Sports | Other |
|---|---|---|---|
| Outdoor Run | Indoor Run | Swimming | Yoga |
| Outdoor Walk | Treadmill | Pool Swim | Pilates |
| Outdoor Cycling | Indoor Cycling | Open Water | Badminton |
| Hiking | Elliptical | Basketball | |
| Trail Running | Strength Training | Tennis |
Each workout session syncs to the app with GPS route (outdoor), distance, pace, heart rate zones, and calorie data.
Origin Health serves as the complete device management center for your vivo Watch:
Origin Health includes manual period tracking for users who want to monitor their menstrual cycle alongside fitness and health data — all within a single unified app without needing a separate period tracker.
The Origin Health app supported devices include the following vivo smartwatches:
| Device | Key Features |
|---|---|
| vivo Watch 3 | Heart rate, SpO₂, stress, GPS, AMOLED display, BlueOS |
| vivo Watch 5 | Heart rate, SpO₂, stress, ECG, NFC payments, GPS, BlueOS |
| vivo Watch GT | Heart rate, SpO₂, 14-day battery, IP68, BlueOS |
| vivo Watch GT 2 | Heart rate, SpO₂, 33-day battery, iOS compatible, BlueOS |
| iQOO Watch 5 | Heart rate, SpO₂, ECG, GPS, vivo ecosystem |
Important: The Origin Health app requires a compatible vivo Watch to access sensor-based features. Without a paired watch, you can still use standalone features like period tracking and manual activity logging, but heart rate, SpO₂, sleep tracking, stress, and workout recording all require the watch hardware.
Yes. The Origin Health app is available on iPhone as vivoHealth on the App Store (iOS 13.0 or later required). You can download it at: https://apps.apple.com/uz/app/vivohealth/id1507758742
Note that the iOS app (vivoHealth) is only available in select App Store regions — it is not available in the United States App Store. It is currently available in markets including Malaysia, Uzbekistan, South Africa, Colombia, and other markets where vivo operates. Users in the US who have a vivo Watch can try the APK sideloading route on Android or use the iOS app via a non-US Apple ID.
Troubleshooting: If you encounter a "network error" during login, ensure you are not using a VPN and that your phone date/time is set correctly. Network connectivity issues have been reported by users outside vivo's primary markets (China, India, Southeast Asia).
Some users search for alternative vivo watch apps. Here's the ecosystem breakdown:
| Situation | Recommended App |
|---|---|
| Connecting vivo Watch 3 / 5 / GT / GT 2 | Origin Health (this app) |
| Connecting OnePlus Watch | OnePlus Health |
| Connecting vivo Watch (older models) | vivo Health (legacy) |
| Connecting iQOO Watch 5 | Origin Health |
There is no PC/Mac desktop client for Origin Health — all watch management is done through the mobile app.
